Doomsday
This is how I died.
Like gods, we hailed from far corners of the sky.
In that old wooden box I had made my way home.
Never planned to stay long, my life was to roam.
Very soon we knew that things weren’t quite the same,
Our worst nightmares in disguise at first seeming so tame.
Those people didn’t know that they harbored the disease,
Were housing disaster that would cause all to bleed.
Loved ones we all thought had been lost forever
Rushed in to save us, their chains were untethered.
Reunited at last, we could flee and be saved
But I returned to his side, my choice had been made.
We banished the monsters, but then fate banished
